Picking your Battles

Sometimes Moms and Dads find themselves saying “NO” to their child almost all of the time. It is easier for young people to take in guidance if parents can pick their battles, offering one suggestion or correction at a time. One way to accomplish this “easier said then done” idea is to select a short period of time (a day or a few hours) to focus on one or two important behaviors leaving others for another time. Even a short period of success can help generate new ideas for everyone.
